So How Does Dishonored 2 Gameplay Feel So Far?

Dishonor 2 delivers some interesting twists from the first, but before we get into the review and first impressions, lets get the general out of the way below.

Is There Multiplayer?

It’s a single player game, with no co-op. It’s intended to be crafted for you as the player immersed in the story.

Do I Need To Play The First One To Understand?

You do not need to play the first one to enjoy this game or to fully understand. You can catch on as you go through the Dishonored 2 gameplay.

Does the special edition come with anything special?

It comes with Dishonored definitive addition and the imperial assassins pack.

Whats The Core Gameplay Like?

Reading multiple sources and watching various reviews such as these, Dishonored 2 comes in (15 years game) with a romantic looking style. We perceived the feel and style of the game as a mix of Minority report, Black Butler (anime), and a bit of Fallout 4.

Although expecting this from Bethesda, this should be really no surprise.

Characters such as Emily seem promising as a style of great combat mixes in with RPG style elements.

We honestly feel just by looking at this game that it just has an assassins creed style of animated combat, combined with the fast work of Bioshock Infinite. It just really comes across that way.

Some people however complained by looking at the demonstration of Dishonored 2 gameplay (from youtube or live streams) that the stealth mechanics looked a little butchered.

What About The Graphics?

We honestly felt the graphics (by looking at the demos) just felt a little bit outdated. It still feels like Bioshock Infinite graphics (and don’t get us wrong, Bioshock Infinite looks great) but it’s not going to be that next generation look everyone is hoping for. (Especially coming from Bethesda)

Maybe if it’s graphics team was Crytek, it would be a different story.

Does It Look Promising?

Dishonored 2 looks like a good continuation for people that had a good or decent impression on the first one.

Bethesda really hasn’t updated their graphics engine in a long time, and even though a game isn’t about graphics, it definitely shows a statement of the team’s culture on where they are exactly on looking towards next generation.

The game honestly does not feel or look next-gen, and we sadly say that Bethesda won’t be coming out with anything like that for the next few years.

However, we did feel like this was a decent game, and if you’re looking to pick up where Dishonored 1 left off, Dishonored 2 gameplay shouldn’t leave you dissatisfied, however it doesn’t really look like a game that would wow you either.
