Mental Health

I. The Power Of Mental Health

Mental health has been one of the most neglected assets in our life where we always seek to have it but never do anything to act upon it.

Good mental health is an overall development and delivery to one’s own performance and primary care. But mental health is truly the source of one of the world’s biggest problem which is depression.

for your health

Studies have shown that people are four times more likely to break off a romantic relationship if their partner develops severe depression than if they develop a physical impairment. Two of the strongest reasons of suicide of under-performing attitude is depression or substance abuse which usually is followed by it.

Which leads to the obvious: Depressions are a huge problem, and are continuing to rise with each passing year.

Mental health deterioration signs begin during adolescence and are usually poorly diagnosed until later on in adulthood.

The mental condition and poverty project named SAHRC is to consider creating a commission that will focus on the needs of mental health patients. Some of the best-trained psychiatrists do realize that many of the mental health symptoms are also directly linked to physical health. At times from the lack of physical activity or neglecting the body with poor diets.

The first step into this field is reducing the stigma around mental illnesses, by using focused education that is created to give the public factual information about depressive activities and habits.

One book that points this out well is called Feeling Good, by David Burns.

II. Reclaiming Good Mental Health

Sometimes you probably think, what exactly is good mental health? How do I know I am really mentally healthy?

for your health

More of less, most of us can be mentally healthy throughout our lives, as all of us need to deal with difficult life events. We can call this happiness, positive mindsets, or living in the moment. Lots of these repeated phrases are the keys to good mental health.

However without our physical health, mental health gets thrown out the window. It’s part of our everyday natural course to be aspirational and physically on the go. If we don’t take upon ourselves to be physically fit, energetic, strong and balanced in our weight by eating a healthy diet and actually going to the gym or taking some long walks every now and then, we might as well not even consider mental health to begin with.

Research tells us many times that good mental health is directly correlated with excellent physical health many times, but one cannot exist without the other. Good mental health comes first, and many times you can reap these rewards by keeping yourself physically fit.

Unfortunately right now, we are facing an epidemic of mental ill health. About 1 in 4 people are experiencing some form of health problem such as depression, anxiety or a related stress symptom. Mental health services are only able to support a tiny drop of the population (estimated at 1%) with more severe mental health difficulties such as unregulated services, treatments, and remedies out available on the private market.

A recent research observation by Robert Whitaker in his book Anatomy of an Epidemic explains this ongoing problem much more in depth. The trouble with people is lots of people are focusing on cures and treatments to fix the problem, when in fact most of the solutions are found in a change in positive perspective.

But what is the overall message of good mental health?

Connections & Challenges, by far.

Connection is certainly known for having a good mental health standing when you have a good relationship with someone. We are after all social creatures, and by having a wider network of friends and colleagues which are built over time, definitely impact your quality of life and mental health.

The second that greatly touches up on this is Challenge. Which is found through learning and development on how we grow. Children for instance, are brought new challenges. However as adults we tend to see challenge as fear and stress, which can cloak itself as change. By expanding your comfort zone, and being comfortable being vulnerable, you can develop your self confidence and sense of personal space.

A way to overcome connections and challenges is understanding it really isn’t a big deal. One of the great solutions that helped some of my former colleagues was the 60 second panic solution, which actually worked to my surprise. It was effective and led them down a path of more confidence and being at peace within themselves.

Being more at peace with yourself helps you achieve and unlock three more skills which are Composure, Character & Creativity.

Composure is defined by your own inner balance, and how you are able to distance yourself from your own thoughts and emotions. It means your skill to respond rather than react to the situation. This can be described as your sense of spiritual connection, and others may define it as your own belief or faith which develops naturally. A mentally healthy person will feel an inner strength of his or her own spirit.

Character & Creativity uncover themselves by relating to thew ay you interpret your own experiences and respond to them. By taking in your own personal story and how you project yourself, your creativity can flow through by being comfortable with the outcome and detached from your own expectations. Learning mistakes from survival, success, and appreciation of one’s self. At the end of the day, we are all just regular people.

One of the best stores I have ever been through on developing these skills was the Unexplainable Store. They are professionals and experts when it comes to these categories and are worth your self investment.

For those who like to read, the absolute best books in these categories are below for your health.

III. Mental Health In The Workplace

Let’s face it.

Worksite wellness programs are not really anything at all, in fact they aren’t even useful. In fact most just focus on employee physical health, to an exception from all the other facets of wellness.

Emotional well-being is related with great benefits to health, family, work and social status. Positive flowing emotions and a outlook on life can greatly decrease the risk for disease, illness and other injuries. Positive mental health is also associated with better endocrine functions such as lower levels of cortisol, epinephrine, and norepinephrine.) It has also been displayed to be associated with vitality.

Workplace Wellness That Works, is a great piece of knowledge on how employee’s perform dramatically higher when there is a good stance on mental health. It’s a great guide for business owners, entrepreneurs, and employees on the different perspectives on great health.

V. Mental Health And Its Stigma

As mental health deterioration is increasing, there is still a lack of comprehension about mental health research in general. For example, a recent survey published called Attitudes to Mental Illness 2007, reported that 63% of those surveyed described someone who is mentally ill as suffering from schizophrenia, and more than half of the people believed that mental illness should be kept in a hospital or psychologically controlled environment (such as a psychiatric ward).

Incredibly so, this is still not understood on how mental health problems affect us most in this way or another. On how we are suffering from a mental illness in our own way or not, we must keep in mind that 25% of the population are suffering from some sort of mental health problem at any time.

People who do have mental health will most likely feel isolated and rejected or too afraid to share their problems with others solely because the way they might be perceived. This lack of understanding means they are unlikely to receive support and when they are in danger of slipping even further into depression and mental illness. People must understand one’s perspective before quickly acting or judging on mental illness.

I. Cellular Nutrition – What It Is And How You Miss Out

Cellular Nutrition is the virtue of a person who is seeking to indulge on the very best of nutrition. It’s been discovered that in order to be highly competent, (or in this case, effective), nutrition must start at a cellular level. This makes perfect sense as our bodies are made out of trillions of cells, each with its own purpose and function that has its nutritional needs to perform that role well.

for your health

The medical advisory board researches for these best ingredients and calculates the nutrient ratios for what each supplement needs.

Cellfood: Vital Cellular Nutrition for the New Millennium describes a plethora of supporting research and evidence on how your body benefits from this.

A cellular nutrition program should be part of everyone’s daily routine. The benefits you reap from doing this are huge, and millions of people report loss of depression and just higher vitality. Most cases of high fatigue have been cleared out because of a good nutritional diet along with exercise. It’s been sought that poor health existing conditions are frequently seen as nutritional issues outside of lack of exercise.

Because there are so many factors and ailments that are from the result of poor diets like pre-cooked foods and fast food meals, it is highly suggested that you replace those meals with a diet that supports cellular nutrition absorption of healthy nutrients.

A highly suggested book that gave me a ton of vitality (and the book has a funny name), is called How Not To Die, which essentially give you the life-hacking cheat sheet to using the right vitamins and foods. It is also one of the #1 best seller’s online when it comes to vitamin and nutrition online.

Because starting cellular nutrition can be tricky, start with the following.

  1. A healthy nutritional meal with at least 9 grams of protein (make sure it’s good protein)
  2. A multivitamin with micro nutrition that consists of vitamins, minerals, and botanical herbs.
  3. A cell activating supplement formula for repairing and reawakening the villi in the small intestine, that eventually increases the nutrient absorption in your body through cell activation.

If you need a good programs to help you through this, there are three highly recommended ones.

  1. Diet Free Weekends – Learn To Start A Healthy Diet
  2. Healthy Desserts Cookbook – High Nutrition Sweet Recipes
  3. Sinfully Healthy Food – Healthy Recipes

II. Choosing The Best Nutrition Supplements

A quality nutritional supplement starts with asking the right questions such as:

  1. Do these supplements meet my nutritional demands?
  2. Is it a fair price?
  3. Is this supplement just going to make me feel better? Or will I actually see a difference?
  4. How long do I need to take this nutritional supplement?

When buying any nutritional health supplement, it is important to choose quality. It is important to know you wouldn’t eat any supplement that would be spoiled or rotten, and also knowing where exactly the ingredients come from.

Ironically, the book Nutrition For Dummies, gives an excellent guide to all the concerns above. People would be completely surprised on how they are buying the wrong supplements at horrible quality standards. It’s all about looking at the right places and the right requirements.

The prices for quality nutritional health supplements at times will be a little higher because they are made with quality ingredients. Doctors often warn their patients for getting a two for one deal at a grocery store for vitamins or nutrients.

Depending on how much vitamins your body needs, your vitamin deficiency can stay the same. Quality vitamins are essential because fruits and vegetables are just a fraction of the required nutrients your body needs. The soil that these fruits and vegetables grow on can deplete most of the natural nutrients.

Nutritional health supplements are exclusively sold by physicians or health practitioners often contain a high dose of nutrients, so always ask them in what amounts you should take them in.

Your duration of taking supplements all depends on your nutritional health and how much you need to balance any health deficiency. There are great testing methods that are now able to determine what your needs are and how much minerals, vitamins, fatty acids, antioxidants, and amino acids you need.

The Ayurvedic Balance Diet Club is a good program to get started on balancing out your base diet before you go on to more advanced things.

The Tao of Nutrition is also the equivalent, for a book on balancing the right quality nutrition and how to find the right ones for you.

III. Careful On Sports Nutrition Supplements

Ever wonder, do any of these athletes or people at the gym, ever check what on earth they are putting in their drinks?

Do people even know what they are talking about?

Supplements are an important part of an athletes diet. It’s necessary to have since it enhances their endurance and also increases their appropriate muscle mass and vitality (depending on what you take).

for your healthMost of the important parts of any sports nutrition is the protein supplements. Without these supplements, athletes would not be able to be the way they are presently. Diets with lots of protein do not essentially build up muscle strength.

Building up muscle strength would be the role of just regular physical activity. So if you want big muscles, you must do exercises where appropriate. The answer to these results is consistency, and what you can do with a consistent and regular routine of muscle based exercises.

But if you want to know the basic standards for protein, you shuld start with these.

  • Fish
  • Poultry
  • Dairy Products

There are foods you can get in your protein because some sources of protein are higher in fat and calories. You must keep record of which are high in fat and which are not.

Other reasons include higher amounts of nitrogen and nutrition supplements, which can only be taken from your body’s urea.

A second bigger issue with sports nutrition supplements is that they have high amounts of protein from animal sources that can be at higher risk of heart disease due to high fat intake and associated with such nutrition solutions.

Careful of sports nutrition supplements that have high amounts of amino counts because it can cause gout, diarrhea, and stomach cramping.

Nancy Clark’s Sports Nutrition Guidebook is a way you should educate yourself on sports nutrition. You don’t want to gradually harm your body with poor nutrition just because you were careless to actually learn about the long term effects of it.

For those who want an advanced guide, or those who want a guide on building a fit male body, read the book Bigger, Leaner, Stronger. It will literally give you the knowledge of any master gym trainer when it comes to nutrition and what you should do.

IV. Understanding Food Nutrition Labels and Nutritional Benefits

Getting the most obvious fact out of the way.

Eating Fat Does Not Make You Fat For Your Health.

This is one of the biggest confirmation biases about food and health that few seem to research into because of the word fat. You can still become overweight just from eating any food that has too many calories and you aren’t using, and you can become fat from the way your body and cells store the food you consume.
