Standing desks are becoming more significant because of health concerns.
It’s not biologically normal (at least in our history) to be sitting down for long periods of time.
For many of us, sitting down in our jobs has been catching up with our health, we are feeling odd cramps or bulges sometimes due to lack of exercise and movement.
A good article by WebMD here explains that it isn’t that bad to sit down during your day job as long as you keep active and move around.
You can risk having fatigue, diabetes, and heart health just by sitting down all day.
Having a walking desk or a standing desk will relieve a lot of that pressure, and lots of people are waking up to the fact that having such a desk is critical for long periods of work in front of a terminal (your computer).
Even if you are a heavy coder, having at least a standing desk or a monitor raiser is going to be healthy for the longterm.

This standing desk has a bit more space and you can put two large monitors on there (23-27 inch monitors easily).

Treadmill desks have been a newer trend recently because of the kill two birds with one stone mentality.
You can work while getting your daily walk as well, its great for people who believe in optimal energy use or part of your morning routines.

With new years resolutions coming up, you want to go into looking to get a treadmill desk. Many of us promise ourveles to actually do some workout routines by end up failing to do it just because of our lack of conviction towards our goals or just lack of time to actually go through with it.
